What is Grey Power ?

Grey Power began in 1983 as a lobby group working with volunteers, as we do to-day. After some time, the organisation was registered as a political party but, after contesting two elections, with little result, it was decided to revert to the lobby group format.

As the name suggests, Grey Power was formed to cater, and lobby for the needs and wishes of all Australians especially the mature aged citizen. The Grey Power Lobby Group is a middle line organisation without leaning to any‘left or right’ ideals. The group has no political bias or affiliation and membership is open to people of all walks of life. A wide range of matters are canvassed and we are not limited to single issues that dominate so many senior organisations.

Grey Power is self funded and not reliant on any government monies or commercial  sponsorship and is therefore free to act in accordance with our members wishes.

Grey Power is an organisational member of The Council Of The Aged [COTA] and we support the COTA initiatives affecting the mature people in our society.
